Historically the most horrible things like wars, genocides and slavery have not resulted from disobedience, but from obedience.
That´s why we founded the School of Disobedience. Disobedience must be one of the central civic skills taught alongside math and reading.
The School of Disobedience offers its students revolutionary ideas and tools for making the world better. The School of Disobedience asks what kind of a world we want in stead of the present one, and teaches how to fight for the important causes. Our teachers encourage the students not to take their obedient place in society and become successful cogs in the wheel – not to let the wheel spin them around as it wants without taking a look at what they’re doing. Lets fight back!
The School of Disobedience opens in the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma 4th of September 2015 and runs until the end of January 2016.
